Just look up Adrian Vermeule, common good constitutionalism, and see if you still take him seriously. He may be a decent authority on admin law, but converted to catholicism (in adulthood, lol) and now wants a kingly theocracy based on religious morality.

I get why this tweet freaks people out, but my sense is that vermeule is pretty far out there even for the fed soc judiciary. Like, Alito and Thomas might follow his integralist instructions, but probably not the others. Would be curious what you think.

Vermeule's premise: "judicial interference with legitimate acts of state" is false. A court order is upholding the law, it is not "interference". And those are not "legitimate" acts of state; they are illegitimate.
