All of this partially because Trump's ego suffered a mortal wound when Pres Obama made a joke.
I bet that's a large part of the reason for burning civil liberties and protections to the ground. Trump thinks Obama was "DEI". Therefore he's eliminating the possibility another nonwhite can have power
