Disappointed there's no Snivy but we've known it was just Lumiose City for months now. I'm hoping there's another pokemon direct that'll show off some more unique things to re-hype it after all the speculation letdowns. I wanna see what they do with it so I'm def buying!
Definitely can't wait to try out the new battles. I've been politely asking my pokemon to dodge for years. Now I can make them!!! It's still not my favorite location, but I'm very optimistic
I’m happy chikorita should get some love, but I’m holding on cautiously about the game as a whole for now. I’m worried it’ll feel limiting and they really lost my trust after S/V. I loved the story but the game itself just felt bad.
-No idea why we're in the city
-No idea what our role is in urban development or how catching pokemon plays into the story
-I think the devs were banking on fans going gaga over mega evolution and dodging mechanics.
-Wild Zone are ok idea
-Lackluster trailer, not excited for this game.
I want to have hope because I loved so many of the SV pokemon designs but the game just ran so poorly. I hope they don’t disappoint but I’ll have to wait tbh, not holding my breath though and WONT BE PREORDERING.
Game will probably be okay. That trailer felt very amateur and unpolished and I don’t get why they are getting so lackadaisical about selling fans on their games.
Because its pokemon, name brand alone sells copies. They feel they don't even have to try that hard to wow people anymore. They'll buy it out of obligation is the sad part.
Graphics looks almost decent and megas are a gimmick I never really cared much for.
But the battle system looks fire and I love how the game is centered inside of a single city. If we get megas for Pokemon that need it and a good mix of wild and trainer battles this might be a good game.
Also, putting MORE work on Gamefreak with Champions?! Does not inspire faith. Feels like Pokemon Company just wants to crunch the shit out of Game Freak, which sucks no matter how I personally feel about them as developers (which isn't good).
Legends Arceus was the last game in the series I played and it was easily the most fun I’ve had playing a pokemon game. I kinda play the games in gaps and wait for the look and feel of one to speak to me enough to buy it. This one looks cool too but I’m not sure I’ll get it yet.
I said it to the Blabel man, but trailers really try and show off the game in the best light...
So with ZA I hope its got some meat on the bones this time.
and not, wow this is a better tech demo, what cool gameplay. Game is 8 hours, wait for 5 years for the next arceus game.
I have a lot of hopes about what could be! And I'm very excited about possible new designs for each of the starter evolutions! The thing I'm telling people is that the greatest disappointment they could give me is a lack of clothing options 😆
I thought the gameplay trailer felt like a game announcement trailer. They really didn’t show a ton but I’m excited nonetheless. The presents as a whole was about what I expected they’d show just a bit surprised they didn’t tease a new mega or mon
Protags kinda look bland idk I miss the really well designed protagonists in Pokemon past rest of the characters look great so hoping we can save it with outfits as for the game itself I'm interested want to see more of the gameplay loop battles especially seen fun ripped straight outta the anime
Chikorita my beloved 🥹 Cautiously optimistic to be honest. It looks like Pokemon Snap instead of Scarlet/Violet thank goodness, and there's still time for them to look even better!
It has potential and I liked the gameplay looking more refined than Arceus, but the whole package again looks rough due to Game Freak still not having enough time to polish or optimize the game to run well on Switch. Just wish Game Freak can catch a break from Pokemon and let them make other games.
Yeah, would be nice if they could give this stuff a little more time, or at least hire a third dev team to work on another project between these if they’re really so averse to scheduling gaps
Wish so too
Unfortunately the TPC is in charge of making said games and GF has to abide by said power into which games get made and how much time they have into completing it

I liked the look and the tweaks to the battle system, but this felt pretty bare bones and didn't explain how this game will be as large as Arceus.

I’m also cautiously optimistic that the focus on just Lumiose City will allow them to have some really in-depth interactions with characters.
Also I think it looks pretty. I could care less about graphics arguments

At least it being a sequel to XY seems mildly interesting.

it looks alright tho
