Never forget when our 6th grade health teacher argued against the anti vax ideology and introduced her friend who had survived polio. She did the right thing as a teacher. Hearing from her friend proved to us that vaccines are necessary. We seem to have forgotten the suffering people went through.

We had an 11-year old who passed away due to SSPE when I did my residency. Born in Somalia, moved here early in life and lived healthy in Sweden. It took our most senior neurology consultant to consider the diagnosis, and a brain biopsy to confirm it. It’s a horrible disease.

Hey please be sure to provide lots of examples of how this looks in lots of different skin tones. I’ve seen measles and when I was overseas, I saw measles and almost missed it because the patient had a very dark skin tone, and I didn’t have the right experience.
