Thinking about one night were Ghost or Soap turns over in bed and Soap wakes up because he hears Ghost next to him and he doesn't know what to do other than watch him go through the nightmare but Soap manages to make Ghost rest his head in his chest and Ghost stops by the soft heartbeats in his ears

Ghost waking up startled but then he relaxes but still can't keep the vivid nightmare away so he listens wide awake until Soap falls asleep just to hear Soap softly murmuring "Ah lov' ye Simon" and Ghost grabs Soap even harder because he feels like he's falling apart and being rebuilt by Soap

okay… turns out both Ghost and Soap’s moms used to hum the same song to get them to sleep. It’s the first time Ghost hears it since she passed. He dreams of his mom meeting Johnny that night.
