I've been talking with these kids for a couple of weeks at UT. Law enforcement has no idea what they're up against. An entire generation of smart, tactical thinkers, raised with a game console in hand; they would have made great cops or soldiers but instead oppose them on principle.

Is this why the Austin Police Association is so adamant about keeping internal affairs reports and citizens' complaints which did not result in disciplinary actions secret? I suspect there is a trove of evidence in these files of failure of APD to hold their officers accountable to the public.
