Debating whether to keep using Toon Boom Animate Pro as I have done for 15 years or switch to Clip Studio paint. Those CSP pencil lines remind me of my 4B pencil back in my layout days and are a bit tempting...

The subscription method is annoying and abhorrent, but looking passed that it DEFINITELY is a wonderful program to use🙏 with all of it's tools and features, as well as brushes and materials in the asset section!
I actually bought a perpetual license version for my daughter a year or so back when it went on sale, but yes - I am trialing my own version now 🤔. It's a hard trade off: l absolutely love the brushes but hate the timeline and having to get my head around a new way of animating. Dunno...🙄
The complexities of it can be quite daunting yes 😔 I've messed with it a little bit, but FIRST things first is to wrap my head around the fundamentals of animation itself🙏 Won't stop me from trying!
