Got a weird Monster Hunter Wilds beta linux problem where inputs (mouse, keyboard, joypad) won't let me enter submenus in the settings.

I can look at graphical settings for example, but not turn them down to where I need them. Spent five hours and got nowhere with this, and I have tried everything.
