Great stuff. I'm beginning to think that some DNA work on Dicranopalpus ramosus/caudatus would be useful (or not!) - I find male caudatus at some sites but all the females I find with them appear to be ramosus.

Yes lichens. It's more coming from the wish to have an independent way of IDing (and not many local experts to learn from (bsky is great for learning btw.) and the pure fascination that you can have an ngs in the palm of your hand...
