Canada is the biggest trading partner with the U.S. - we pipe oil & ship a lot of softwood lumber, which the U.S. needs for construction.

Such a tariff, if implemented, would be insane for the U.S., as many things like oil and especially lumber to renovate and build homes would be more expensive.
