I volunteer in a Medicaid nursing home, it’s disgusting! People line up at the nurses station hoping someone will help them change from their urine soaked clothing.

There’s not enough staff, and the staff are so appalled by the environment they work in they hide from working, everyone suffers.

I haven't looked into it yet but a neighbor of mine was recently in a nursing home for a short stay and they didn't/wouldn't even provide her a pillow and blanket. 🤬

Yes this is needed but DHHS/Mills just sent out an email that the legislature approval of a COLA for 2025 has been withdrawn by her Department. Agencies/facilities were counting on that increase. Staff need the increase. We have a workforce shortage in the direct care field.
