I don't mind the plethora of crap bc I've found gems in there.
It's just difficult to discover gems when by the 3rd page the store scrolling becomes a painful crawl.
I only ever open it to buy a game now.
As for hardware, I'd like joycons that feel decent when playing sideways. I love the pickup and playablity of the Switch, but those joycons...
I mean it is a joy to boot up the WiiU or 3DS as there is a tune playing in the background and with the 3DS it even changes the sounds of choosing an item when using the Smash Bros Theme for example.
It had so much more personality than the switch
If we're talking home screen, add themes too. Choose a screenshot or something, sheesh
In terms of improvements, better game organization and some actual quality control would go a long way.
It's very slow a bad too
It's filled to the brim with shovelware and "fake" bundles.
It's dead now. Unusable.
Having written UI software for 25 years, I can't abide to see such sloppy work from a company as large as Nintendo.
The site is supposed to sell fun. Gaming is fun. I was designing and building more engaging homepages in 1997.
Sorting by most popular, newest, ect. Filter by on sale, genre, or even developers
- Performance, lagging between pages and while scrolling
- Sending games to friends
- Basket Feature
- Music
- Games should remove from Wish List once purchased
- Review system. For better or worse, they shouldn’t shy away from publicly viewable feedback
- Smartphones could redirect shop links to the app
- Visual search
- More flexible option for browsing without having to boot the console
- Easier to share software suggestions
I just find the more you browse the sluggish it gets. I expect that to just improve naturally with the new hardware hopefully:)
Some proper quality control to the eShop would go a long way to improve things.
Because of that, I would like to see it be a faster experience with more quality control for the titles being showcased.
Very much in need of some performance tweaks as well because it is painfully slow and clunky to navigate.
