I was always told that the USA has a low tolerance for sacrifice, even for long term gain.

ie Climate change. People weren’t going to sacrifice to fix it.

Now Trump is saying his tariffs will hurt but for long term gain.

Can’t wait to see if we are cool w sacrifice now.
