Real life is getting kinda heavy, so I dusted off a few of my favorite comfort reads to cope with the moody times. What book has your heart right now? πβ€οΈ #BlackBookSky #BookSky

This has been out for a while but I'm just getting to Legenborn this month... about halfway through and I'm absolutely in love! Can't wait to read the others
Also, thank you for the book referral. I just bought the first book after hesitating a bit that it was listed as Teen/YA, but the rave reviews are from adults. I got the audio book, so am looking forward to the first in what appears to be a trilogy (third book not out yet, but no long wait)
I like EM Fonerβs Earthcent Ambassador / Union Station series. Intelligent futuristic business ideas, smart likeable characters, friendly humor. Also dip back into Old Manβs War series and Murderbot Diaries. Comfort listening because the books are rational and human and genius
The 2024 Dungeons and Dragons Players Handbook. My high school Dungeons & Dragons group has reunited 40 years later, weβre playing over discord. The oppressed call us The Friendly Strangers. We havenβt yet heard what the evils doers are calling the most ruthless assembly of Murder Hobos in Prismeer.
By the way, as an artist in the age of AI, my heart leapt as I counted 114 illustrators and concept artists in the new β24 Playerβs Handbook. Itβs the very picture of a Lavishly Illustrated Book, if you will.
I just finished a acotarπ I donβt have money to get the next book yet so I jumped back to a soul of ash and blood π but I think Iβm going to play my twilight playlist at work and call it a day
I really like to escape to another world. I love Nalini Singh Psy Changeling world with the whole shifter/changeling romances. The Archangel series is fun too. Christine Feehan's Carpathian novels are a fun world (I could do with less of the sex scenes by book 35- how many ways can you describe it?)
I've been itching to rereading these. I'm trying to hold off until closer to March but I'm currently enjoying The Well of Ascension, book 2 in the Mistborn series.
