I prefer DooM 2, since its the one most mappers use it (as a base wad) well i guess more specifically plutonia idk why but they do

Honestly in modern terms Doom 2 is a DLC of Doom 1. Doom 2 wins for having (even) more interesting enemies and maps

Doom 2s having more monster types is rad but 1s levels flow a lot better with better atmosphere. Thats how ive always seen it.
