It helps. I watch a lot of (non-U.S.) history videos on YouTube. I recommend anything with Dan Snow. Or try PBS’s “All Creatures Great and Small.” It’s like video Xanax. I also took up knitting eight years ago. Crafting is very soothing and gives you a feeling of accomplishment. Feel better!
Great idea and it will help. I have not watched since Nov 5th and keep in touch with Meidas Touch @meidastouch.com and Democracy Docket with @marcelias.bsky.social. I really like the interaction on Bluesky. Glad you are here.
Me either. The problem is that the media outlets choose to make the blowviator the top story , no matter what. Not climate change, not Gaza, not even the mystery drones. It's the walking colostomy bag with his stupid ideas of renaming the gulf of MEXICO. bought & paid for, all of them.
I stopped as well but did it right after they excoriated Joe following the summer debate. I had enough, it was the last straw for me. It had been festering since 2016, the way they treated Hillary. It helps immensely not to be saturated in what they decide we need to know.
I stopped watching the news since January 20th and haven’t looked back. “No news is good news” rings true in 2025. Good luck and I hope you feel better!
Just remember the method of madness happening right now:
Flood the zone. Filling up media with garbage purposely put there to cause a reaction and a divide.
Protect your peace.
Don't let hate or hopelessness consume you. Don't. Give. Up.

I stopped watching all news; local, national, cable before the election.
It has helped my state of mind.
I’m never going back.
