A household income of 6 figures is not representative of the majority of households in the US. It's barely over $80k median income, and the best I can gather if you clear $50-$55k it's pretty common. Bet that everyone from $80k down can't afford to uproot and leave the country if shit turns bad.

People with 6 figure incomes are much more likely to be able to 'bug out', unsupported by others, without a job helping in any way. Even fairly low 6 figures - because they're the ones able to even think of putting away enough money to pull such a thing off... or even retire without fear.

I think it all depends on a lot of factors. 6 figures isn't what it used to be, especially in Trump's economy. I make 6 figures, but I couldn't afford to leave the country. I have 3 kids. But yeah, you're absolutely right that they're in a much better place than most regular people.

This could also be likely. We just have to see how times move forward in this strange new world. In any case, I think Americans should probably let our true allies know that we're in trouble, and need their support. An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere, or something like that, right?

I think most of our allies get it. Canada has said so. So has France and some others. The problem with that though, is that Trump's new boyfriend is scary. They don't wanna piss Russia off. Which is why this whole thing is a powder keg waiting for a spark. He's dead set on starting WW3.
