it's been a hot minute since i played through gunstar heroes properly and the parallels with edward randy are way, *way* more apparent to me now, it's all over the game :V

co-op has some really weird stuff in it though- it often feels pretty cramped and you take turns in the dice palace

it's definitely not my preferred treasure action game (i think alien soldier is where i live, being able to switch between fixed and free shot is such an improvement) but this was one of the first games i discovered via emulation, so i guess i have a soft spot for it

also, bravoo man is the best
