Thanks! Very helpful. The number might well be smaller, then! Those who max out the 7K might not be able to max out the 12K. Good info

I guess my only complaint is that I don't like to see tax filer numbers expressed as a percentage of the population as a whole.

2022 n of PIT tax filers is just under 29 million. $1,579k as a % is closer to 5.4%. But that doesn't change the general point
