Going into the season thinking career 7/8 defensemen could be everyday players was a big risk. The team’s defence has 2 top 4, 2 3rd pair and the rest are not guys that should be everyday players.

Could use more help on D for sure. But overpaying Zadorov wasn't the answer. And Cole was brutal in the playoffs.

Zadorov and Lindholm are both huge overpayments and having underwhelming seasons in Boston. Letting them go was great mgmt.
