Yes, it would be rad if they actually made people's lives better, but they could also give their employees partial owners of the companies they work for. Co-Ops are like that.
The idea behind the social contract is to 'give back' and help the next generation out, not feed it all to their ego with larger boats and a dozen large homes.
Citizens United kinda broke everything, and the Stock Act is just ignored, etc.
Unfortunately this influence is limited because of uninformed, lazy, or even forced consumerism. The legal system also takes years to respond.
