People are scared because of everything else that's happening, not everything is connected but it's still concerning since drones can be used as weapons.
the drones unfortunately are real. a lot of them are quad copters. they sort of just hover in place and don’t fly super high so their fairly visible. however the general reaction by the public that they think their all being personally spied on is crazy
they move at speeds and angles we can not. they also go black and can't be seen when they don't want to be. they are more advanced than we are. guns not going to do it.
I think it's that the police got new toys and are just joyride them i mean every pd did it when they got apcs and helicopters pentagon probably denied it because they know in 2 months the negative pushback will be the next administration problem
They're definitely not planes or helicopters. Some people might be wrongfully reporting sightings when they just see normal aircraft but there are the weird huge drones too.
Agreed. My neighborhood was loud with propellor driven craft last night, many of which flew higher than helicopters. I live near the Philly airport, so we are used to having many planes, but at that time of night they’re almost always commercial jets. Tonight, I’m going to use a telescoping lens…
…to try to zoom in on them. Even if these are crewed propellor planes or helicopters, people’s anxieties are real and the White House is sucking at calming people down.
Anyone who dismisses the reports is just showing they really have not been paying attention. What's distressing is seeing reasonable people almost brag about their ignorance re this topic.
"I refuse to learn information I'll just make a snap judgement based on my preconceived notions" is bad.
Even without close-up vehicle identification, some reports unlikely to be regular aircraft:
- too numerous
- hovering behavior (rejects all fixed-wings)
- low-altitude, low-speed, confirmed by triangulation / following in a car
- running lights turned off suddenly
- (probably more)
Mot people don't think it's Iran, the gov isn't saying it's Iran, literally one idiot said it was maybe iran.amd immediately got shouted down, yet somehow in your head the narrative became "everyone is saying it's Iran" you sound ridiculous.
I blocked him soooo fast. Seeing a huge uptick in people who just get on here to start random, senseless fights on blue sky has been a major disappointment. We are quickly becoming like the Bad Place lol
Yeah, nah. There’s a large number of people who think it’s Iran on my local Dept of Emergency Mgmt page. They fell for that one screwball politicians publicity stunt press release
A local journalist in Tucson, AZ wanted in on the drone excitement so badly that he posted about it potentially happening there only to have to correct 90min later that there were lanterns released at a cemetery.
Another person who saw one headline and somehow instantly knows better than the countless people who are there on the ground. I'll just say, you come across as not informed about what's going on.
I deadass said I don't know any details, so what's your point here? To shut up? All I've heard is 3rd hand speculation ranging from aliens to Iran, so to me neither of those sound logical, and a good rule is to not make an ass out of yourself is to go with the most reasonable and plausible answer.
Hot take but its actually good to not conspiracy nut about something when you dont have details and are not an expert. Hot breaking news is also what get clicks even if they mess up, nobody sees the retractions and corrections, so is it wrong to wait for more info before making your own conclusions?
Love the first grade level of reading comprehension, aliens and Iran = conspiracy. Not forming an opinion until presented more accurate details = basic media literacy.
My favorite time of year is when I start getting notifications on my neighbors app regarding all the “chemical” streaks in the sky when it gets cold outside. ✈️
