I despise that lots of non-disabled people believe people with terminal illnesses are just waiting to die.
We should mprove their quality of life, not ushering them to assisted suicide.
The infantalising idea that one can't enjoy their life just because they're terminally ill is abhorrent

I have met too many people are just waiting to die and am too much of a humanist to think otherwise. My body and my choice, and all that.
Are you able to link?

I am not fan of Dan Hitchens...he has a legitimate view on right to die, and that forms the basis of all that follows from him. He seems led by belief, without regard to other peoples rights, in particular self autonomy.
The second point, thats understandable, I only linked him due to having video clips of the committee's frankly triggering discussions.
I cannot fathom the breathless stupidity of ableism.
"You will be disabled if you live long enough," should not be necessary, but somehow "have empathy" is a lesson many have refused.
They shouldn't HAVE to work. If they want to, then they can but too many people think they shouldn't be in benefits at all.
It's an absolute joke
However should someone choose assisted dying, i think that too should be available - not just for terminal illnesses. There are other areas to consider eg - paralysis, choice for dementia in advance
Just look at the videos from the committee it's absolutely abhorrent
