I feel government has become less about science and law and more about power and patronage - a one sided relationship and they rely on people giving up and being isolated and silenced. Legal aid cuts and clogged courts play into their hands.

All the more reason not to shut up, and keep organising.

That's if you can even find legal help that has legal aid, and will touch either the care or the benefits side. I tried most of last year, as when you know something is against the international human rights, it sits like a lead weight, reliant you can't access the help you so desperately need. 😢

Yeah, it's grim. Knowing you're being openly abused and there's nothing you can do about it. Your rights may as well be the moon.

Of course all the abusers have professional insurance or hide behind the state sector war chest.

after the announcement ,I'm relieved kind of,relieved that I won't lose £675 p/m BUT if I lose points on DL taking me from enhanced to standard then I won't be able to keep my motorbility car ,which has been an absolute godsend these past 18 months (first time being on enhanced instead of standard)

I'm wondering how on earth our local council is going to cope if I haven't PIP care any more to take from me, for failing care. It's beyond destroying me financially, the council took all of my PIP care and then some more as theirs instead, long ago now. The whole system stinks. stay strong people🙄

I can hear the legal arguments against these proposals being written up from here. Particularly, around the narrowing of the PIP requirements and excluding under 22s from incapacity benefits. The latter being a particular non starter as it directly discriminates against a particular age group.
