Replayed the PS4 re-imagining last year & it's still a blast imho. I can understand a couple of the criticisms people throw at it, but it's still a great game overall & really gets way, way too much unjustified hate if you ask me.

I generally don't like to acknowledge the negative stuff people say about it - but if *this* is a low point, then I think Ratchet & Clank is doing mighty fine.

The game is excellent. That's a feeling I had long before joining the studio, and even now.

It's definitely not a perfect game, but it's easy to forget that R&C was in a real audience burnout slump after the late PS3 games. RC16 reminded general gamers why R&C is great, which paved the way to Rift Apart being the success that it is now. So to me RC16 is HUGELY important for that.

YUP. It's an impactful entry. It also, simply, isn't a bad one as some will try to convince you.

It's a phenomenal game that has some exceptional high points that drive the collective experience so far forward.

For me it's also a great jumping-on point. You get to play the origin story without the baggage of it being a game from 2002 with none of the gameplay advancements. If you like it, you're good to replay from the beginning!

IMO it has its flaws in terms of the story (that mostly have to do with the movie tie-in), but gameplay, art, the weapons, the level design, it's all top notch. Love going. back to this game every once in a while. ❤️
