I don’t care what someone decides they are. They are responsible for their happiness. My denial of their personal pursuit of happiness, as long as it doesn’t hurt others, is simply abuse. Call it what it is - Abuse!
Reposting couldn't be simpler. It only takes a mere second. Erika, a trans woman unjustly arrested due to name change on her identification card reposting could play a crucial role in safeguarding her from potential violence, as she is currently placed on the men's side of the jail.
Choosing what your gender is and how you want to identify yourself is a basic human right that is now being trampled on by scared hateful politicians unable to accept the fact that the world is moving on without them. They will target any slightly different group if it means staying in power.
Transgendered people have lived peacefully among us for decades without issue. It was only until they sought to get some actual human rights like right to exist, right to work, right to medical care, right to use a bathroom, etc. that the persecutions began.
Amen to that, Jessa. As a proud trans woman, I applaud your words and thank you for those words of bravery and wisdom in these uncertain and dark times.
