This is so sweet… but also puzzling for me. I’ve had two intelligent, empathetic dogs… neither ever paid the slightest attention to the TV. Acted like it was no more interesting than a sofa they couldn’t sleep on
And most of my dogs have not cared about the TV whatsoever. But my dog Deegsn is obsessed when there are sports balls on the TV, which happens a lot. One of these days he's going to knock the damn thing over. 😂🙄
You might be onto something. Dogs are incredibly varied genetically and it's very possible that for most dogs their eyes can't properly see the TV, it might flicker or just be a blur to their eyes.
Anecdotally: I have 2 Boston terriers. 1 is completely indifferent to the TV, the other is frequently distracted by sports activity on the screen. We swear Deegan's vision is weird, he's obsessed w/ shadows & reflections more than animate objects at times.
