Now awards are frozen (3), the White House is ordering NSF to accept a 55% budget cut (4), & DOGE canceled all NSF travel indefinitely, canceling talks by myself & others that would have highlighted how NSF has leveraged their already-tiny budget for demonstrably large returns on federal investment.

I *would* have shared that, thanks to NSF SBE, we better understand how we can leverage people's behavior to promote sustainable natural resource management, so things like fish & forest products are consistently available to consumers & to the fishers and loggers who rely on them for a living (5).

Thank you. I worked for 2 years at #NSF as an #AAAS S&T Fellow. Wonderful years, amazing colleagues, incredible science. Since then, SBE has funded me twice. Let's shout from the rooftops how important they are
