I really enjoyed working on this paper. I wrote it in the middle of working on my dissertation in another area of sport history. Diving deeper into something else was critical for my sanity at the point I started researching.

Not favourites, but this pair of papers about the evolutionary loss of neurons for escape behaviours in decapod crustaceans were both a nice mix of brain, behaviour, and evolution. Alas, interest in that circuit had dried up by then. #Crustmas

Well, my favorite was the (time consuming) translation of my book into English as changing languages allowed me to rethink difficult interpretations and make things clearer for myself and the reader. A bit like psychoanalytical sessions I gave myself... 😉
