I’m a small account both X and here but definitely more engagement here. I feel like a large percentage of followers at X are ad bots, troll bots, pr0n bots, and just not real people.

Keep in mind that just because you have followers on X, it doesn't mean they are active followers. I cannot deactivate my account and I hear there are many that also cannot. I am likely one of those followers.

The twitter number is probably somewhat inflated. I haven’t deleted my account there yet, as a couple of people I follow haven’t migrated here yet, but I only interact with your account here (as I do with everyone I follow there who has migrated here). I expect I’m not the only person doing so.

I'd guess a majority of your followers here
are still following you on Twitter too
so there would be double-counting in play

I wasn't seeing them as separate groups of people. I assume they're all duplicative. though I lost about 25k followers after the election. So I assume that's a chunk of the 120k i now have on Bluesky.
