I xhitttered today that i think companies that go that route make themselfes utterly unattractive as work places for the most talented and creative people. Glad to see that this is already starting to pan out.

I don't blame you, it's just spitting in the face of talented creatives. EA wouldn't have their empire if they didn't have genuine artists and people to begin with. Looking forward to see what you go on to make!

Nah. I worked under Brian Farrell at THQ right before they folded. Incompetent? Maybe. Psychopath definitely not. Also worked under Probst ar EA. I’d say he was just a bean counter more than anything else. Ricitelleo is closer to Wilson though…

I’ve seen some worrying stats about how many game devs are talking about their companies heavily embracing/pushing AI and I’m deeply not shocked EA is one of them.

Honestly would be curious to know stats on EA controlled companies versus not, because they absolutely seem type to mandate HARD.

I'm happy you stood your ground. AI will never be capable of creating a game that has the same connection with players as real devs and writers do. And, as a player, I'll never buy a game created by AI.

Good on you, idk who is pushing for AI in the game industry but CLEARLY nobody wants this; not the players and certainly not the devs.

Which only leaves a handful of investors, and seeing the recent stock plunge i doubt they'll be sticking around for long 🫠
