Hmmm I don’t see the nutritional value listed…sounds like too much sugar but I bet you could use a honey substitute and monk fruit sweetener. The chocolate chips though… 🤔

Lilys and Hersheys make sugar free choc chips. Other brands are likely available. There are also reduced sugar chips, which might be tastier.

I create more nutritious versions of various recipes for fun, so let me know if I can help with anything. I often sweeten chocolate recipes with honey or maple syrup plus cocoa powder - you just have to compensate for the extra liquid. Dehydrated honey and maple sugar are other drier options.

Well he’s diabetic so I have learned about ChocZero honey substitute and monk fruit etc. Trying to keep the “dessert” type stuff out of the house. Found a healthy and tasty bran muffin recipe he really likes 😁
