Luckily, We the People have a blueprint for saving our country. Learn all about it in at @USCitizensCongress.bsky.social. Let's identify and achieve a political agenda that benefits We the People and not politicians, parties or oligarchs!
No, it's that way because the French have very strong unions and when their government starts fucking around, they riot and start burning down government buildings...
Just This! I have been saying for years that if we all just stop working, stop paying our bills, stop paying our taxes and stop spending our money perhaps there will be an understanding of who holds the power.οΏΌ
Absolutely! Back in the 1950s -60s the tax rate for the ultra wealthy was about 92%. In the 1970s it was about 70%. . Regular people had one-income households. People could afford homes. They took vacations. Didnβt have credit card debt. Had savings. People were paid a living wage. Not anymore.
So true. When I first began my career in the 80s, small business was the America's engine producing 73% of this nations GDP. Now, monopoly corporations are producing that number. We used to break these monopolies up.
Yep. This is an evil regime. J. D. Vance said: βThereβs Going to be a Reckoningβ talking about Demsπ³. Wtf? How do we get rid of these people when the-balance-of power is all in their favor. The answer is, there are elections people donβt know about all of this year.
Ya but note what the post actually says: the French STOP WORKING. You want these "boycotts" to really work? Change to the word boycott to the phrase National Wildcat Strike. Imagine the shit storm in the news if 50 million people walked off the job for just 1 day?
I remember when Elon tried union busting in his factory in Sweden which triggered immidiate strike not just in his factory, but also the Swedish and Danish transport workers refused loading and hauling Teslas, and he couldn't understand the Danish/Swedish govs couldn't help him.
Fench guy here.
Sure we did that...200+ years ago.
Since, we've had collaboration with the third reich and we have yet to start "Revolution 2 : Electric Boogaloo", even tho fascists are getting more and more elected and vocal in the media and the streets.
So don't take us as example plz. Do better!
Some Americans have voted against unionizing at their own economic detriment. Unions protect workers against corporations and organizations who want the power to unfairly fire and punish workers. While there are many reasons and explanations for voting βNo,β fear is the most obvious one.
I couldnβt call mine - ( florida) but I spent my morning emailing Your Democratic senators do the same stand against Republicans show them we ARE unified because they are counting on democrats falling apart instead of sticking together and sticking it too them !! Letβs Gooooo !
Call Schumer, Tell him there's a Blue Wall.
Do not vote for the budget CR
Let the gov shut down.
Yes it's going to hurt. It's already hurting, They are already shutting it down. Do not enable them anymore https://www.schumer.senate.gov/contact
In the UK we still have these aristocrats, most sit in the House of Lords have never done a days work in their shitty lives. Own vast areas of the country, mainly cause their relatives shagged a royal or crawled round them. Yet they still think they deserve respect, bunch of useless wasters.
I've been saying we need to channel a little French Revolution Energy (no heads need to roll), but we need to walk out and speak out... we are living in a disproportionate society. DEMS have tried to make it better, last 51 days anti: Civil rights, vets, LGBTQ, & and the disabled. #FRE
In 2025, im happy with jail time, we need civilization and the courts. They lived in a time when they didn't know what germs were and missing on something would cure an ailment ha
Also, to dismiss the actions of the French Revolution as βoh lol they didnβt know betterβ is in my opinion, missing the point and is precisely the reason youβre all over there living in Crazytown. Difference being your lot had smart phones and should have known betterβ¦
If youβre familiar with the study of dumpster baboons (not a joke), Iβd say the science suggests bullies when weeded out of society, only lets the society thrive. You donβt keep them around to let them campaign for office. You support a broken system.
True, but a civilisation can only thrive if the toxic elements are extinguished entirely. Youβre not talking about Revolution, youβre talking about a fantasy where you win in a court room they control. Good luck with that.
The problem with that logic is who decides " what's toxic" that would have been me as a Black woman not long ago in this country... Jews in Europe etc. No, don't become the oppressor
Y'all really should brush up on your history. After 1789, there were years of political chaos, leading to the rise of Napoleon (considered a dictator by some), leading to his defeat and - surprise, surprise - the return to monarchy by 1815.
The issue is, weβre a melting pot. You guys can come together based on French people being French. Weβre fighting injustice of inequality and racism. So keeping together the literal children(the right) to realize the threat vs itβs own people, some whom arenβt the same color? Is this.
The French have few unions but the ones they have are powerful. Most don't need unions because all workers there have a LOT of rights, The demonstrations and strikes are a way of life and a powerful bargaining tool.
No need to go back that far. A Tesla store was firebombed last week. The French are better at protesting US fascism in France than Americans are doing it at home. Lots of things to learn from them: e.g., the tactic of walking in circles through different crosswalks to bring an entire city to a halt.
π―!! We wouldn't be where we are now if we lived in a TRUE DEMOCRACY where:
1 man/woman = 1 vote
Instead of this Friday night bowling league handicap scoring that gives the GQP a participation trophy π every 4-8 years! Their version of affirmative action that they love to cry about so much!
I hope that helps Bradley. My Citocracy is really a proposed workable model of how we could run our society. It has three core concepts. Direct Democracy. GDP Linked UBI and a fair taxation and redistribution model. It doesnt negate any of todays world, it just refactors it for Citizens.
It's simpler than that. The people of West Virginia and I share so few common interests and views on the necessary decisions for the future of a nation, that us sharing the same government makes no sense.
USA, the home of cowboys and independence. And yet, everyone is a sheep. The WW2 generation would have neutered themselves if they knew what their descendants would be.
Could not agree more. I was just saying to my husband we need a small French Revolution here! Trump Musk are not the monarchy no matter what they think
I got friends in France work pretty hard. They work all kinds of hours. They get 2 1/2 hours during the day but they work later hours my friend that works at an office job is always at work.
I work in health care. I can't walk off the job without losing it, my healthcare, potentially my license, and harming my clients. Much as i would love to get out there and fight. Our system is designed to keep us in place.
Americans have always known our powers, but like a cult these magas got caught up in the cons, lies and grift. I remember seeing him on tv before his first term. He was making fun of the disabled. That turned me off. It was a massive clue as to what was in his heart.
"Trump's...technological imperialist/monarchist plans of Elon Muskβs Neo-Reactionary (NRx)...philosophy. NRx is a belief that democracy must be eliminated and the country run under a corporatist, technological dictatorship..."
Iβm currently in France for a long stay, and I can tell you factually the French stop working and go on strike at the drop of a hat.
They paint large banner signs at the round a bouts and stay home.
It works.
They also turn street signs upside down if a law passes they donβt like.
And speed cameras are regularly collared by tractor tyres so they canβt see, or are simply busted. If the French donβt like something, they act as one and sort it.
No. They wait until the issue is negotiated before they go back to work.
Itβs a normal part of life here. Example- The dump guys go on strike at least once a year. Why? Idk. The job isnβt horrible.
But you see their homemade sign at the round about- and you say -ok. Iβll wait until itβs over.
Only unionized employees in the US have any type of job protection. That's why you don't see more widespread protests here. Also, this administration won't hesitate to use the military for crowd control unless you want to storm the Capitol.
There are still only about the same proportion of swivel-eyed loonies as in the UK, Germany or Italy. Remembering the occupation makes France slightly more politically hostile to the idea of Nazism than some other states.
Their two round voting system makes it unlikely that they could gain power.
Yes. It has gone too far in this country and it started decades ago with Nixon's administration allowing insurance companies to become for profit, then Reagan's supply side trickle up economics, slashing taxes on the rich, Citizen's United, the 2017 tax scam law, and now 47. The new deal is done.
I lived and worked in France from 2000 to 2005. They don't mess around when it comes to their rights or government overreach! They burn shit to the ground, not just in Paris, but in every village in the country. The government pays attention!
Thatβs because they are just a bunch of coddled rich pussies who do not have the stomach for violence, and, exactly why they do not deserve to be members of the Democratic party. Let them go get a real job where they actually have to work for a living.
It should be nothing to do with the party. It is the people. Fortunately in France there are more people who think about not only themselves, others but also for the country. In the USA everyone works for themselves, i.e., selfish not for the others and country
You realize that 1) what you are describing about France is known as nationalism. 2) the left has declared nationalism in the US as racist. 3) wait till the effects of Frances recent immigration policies kick in.
βWe are like small streams that, when joined together, can become a powerful river of humanity, united in the purpose of making the world a better place. By standing together, we can wash away the political darkness in the U.S. and stand against autocracy.β
You don't even have to go back that far. I think a Tesla store was firebombed just last week. But civil disobedience is where they truly excel. I've been in France many times (I live close) when everything just stops. They simply don't do whatever it is they're supposed to be doing and that's that.
In America, those who are voted in, serve the people, as apposed to those who are appointed, as is Musk. Those who are appointed must be vetted and approved by Congress.
This orange president and these Congressmen and Congresswoman serve Americans.

will not put up with that BS..
We are next!
Then copy that
Because they are effective.
It's time for the People's revolutionοΏΌ.
And everyone not in the US took off the entire month of August IN ADDITION to the rest of the PTO program.
Love it - might be a bit jealous but I can't be mad at it!
French ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy has been sentenced to three years in jail, two of them suspended, for corruption.
Post WWII popular politics IS WHY France enjoys such large public opposition to corrupt policies.
Not the guillotine
Romanticism is NO WAY to win a valid point - you have none
MAGA's supposed to be the stupid
Don't EVER forget that!
Just sayin'
Sure we did that...200+ years ago.

Everyone should leave simplistic stupidity to the MAGAts, don't start the bullshit here.
Post WWII politics is why France enjoys its strong working class. Being pushed around during that war inspired their spines.
Do not vote for the budget CR

Yes it's going to hurt. It's already hurting, They are already shutting it down. Do not enable them anymore
https://www.schumer.senate.gov/contact
France's current respected working class had NOTHING - NOTHING to do with the guillotine
Did everyone forget about Napoleon? The sappy pre-WWII politicians?
Let's not be a stupid as MAGA
Post war politics and engagement was their cure.
Hopefully that comes around to bite them on the arse one day soonβ¦
The Northern states make the most sense for a break from the US and provide strategic buffer zone for Canada- they would likely support it.
1 man/woman = 1 vote

Let them have Texas, which is the 9th.
No more taxation without representation.
Direct democracy NOW! We don't need privileged clowns in locked rooms to ratify legislation. We can do it from our phones with voting software.
Would you mind starting a thread there and we can a brainstorm going?
Might get a little attention.
You guys need your Robespierre
Top of the list was
Bernard Arnault family

If only 3-5% of the working adults walked off the job then the corps & the rich would lose their collective minds & turn against trump
And there is no way they could come after 11M+ people to force us back to work
This IS the solution
I saw a couple of these when I was living in France in the 80s. Definitely gets the attention of leadership.
This orange president and these Congressmen and Congresswoman serve Americans.
