please do it. also no, you don’t have to play anything. there are tonnnnnns of “just chatting” channels at any given time. playing a game every now and then might help new folks find you, but it’s not required.
It's not solely a gaming platform, although there are a lot of gamers on there. I've seen people just chat, do art, sometimes I've written music on there, others play music (although you have to worry about DMCA rules), etc. For the most part you can do whatever so long as you follow the TOS.
it is just streaming however the whole milieu of twitch is to stream gamer-centered content. for sure there are content creators there who dont game but i feel like +90% people there stream gaming stuff
