Th union I’m in has done salting since inception. Still does. It used to be more productive than it is now. A lot of blue collar workers have been conditioned to believe lies about unions. I work with a ton of people who are in my union and they say they hate unions. It’s insane.

It’s usually a trusted union member who’s been in the union for a while. The union pays an offset wage. Say your union wage is $50 per hour but the non union job pays $30. You submit your paystubs to the union and they pay you $20 for every hour you worked. Providing the salt a full union wage.
