heartbreaking: grinding solo queue is making me a better player
(we beat moonlight in sendouq)
(they were very tired)
(they were not playing well)
(we take those)

i'm using it to develop individual skills - mechanical consistency, MUCH more adaptation (lots of weird comps/situations you have to win), exposure to good players on more weps, clutching/winning alone, etc.

In the latter, I’ve seen benefit from map consistency (you dont have to wait till 3am for not-wahoo), where you can get reps on more valuable maps.
Thanks, also!!
and there is real value in playing the awful maps
because you're forced to be creative, smart, and mechanically reliable, which WILL help you in weird situations anywhere
dying is *always* not-preferred and 2-for-1 trades can be worth it in solo
the problem is the lessons the person is attempting to draw from soloq, not soloq itself
"i lose when i die in solo" doesn't mean "oh i shouldn't go for anything"
it means get 2 and live anyway
i trust my teammates to go for stuff and i posture to go if and only if their idea works out
sometimes ur teammate does something dumb and you must let them die
also cooler doesn't make dying better, you should still live
thats what the qsj is for
