Thankful I live 75km west of Niagara Falls NY in Ontario. My wife had open heart surgery at a great hospital, excellent surgeon walked out of the hospital $0 due. It feels great!
I'm quite enjoying it, thank you.
I would have put my mum in debt, been broke myself many times over, if not just plain dead, had I been born to the USA....

The reason all these countries have universal health care is that we all pay into it for the better good..and don't let oligarchs and billionaires live tax free!
Because in 2025 nobody should be without Health Care
It’s mind boggling that the US hasn’t been the leader in that field especially since they have without a doubt some of the best talent and skill in the world in the field
I live in Italy. I don't make much. But the fact that I don't have to worry about my health and pay a pittance for medications makes a big difference for me.
The NHS in the UK saved my life more than once. Never cost me a penny outside of my taxes and I'll defend the institution every chance I get !
Honestly, the world looks on at the US system in horror.
Having Germany on this list with a start date of 1941 is a wee bit misleading when the universal health plan consisted of one-way train trips to Auschwitz.

Maybe in countries where the government is allowed/required to do their JOBS, people like to vote!?
In those countries, maybe being able to make a decent living enables citizens to keep up w current news.

Thanks for asking
