Hey, remember when Jump's editorial department was publicly saying shit about "women not understanding the hearts of young boys" and let Bakuman demean female authors writing shonen? Just thinking about that for some reason

(Goes without saying that this obviously isn't the first time a female author or a female artist has succeeded in JUMP but this is the first time they've had a female writer/author duo and that seems to be working out pretty well)
Having said that it does also probably say something that they apparently underprinted Ichi which seems weird considering Osamu Nishi is coming off of a still running hit shonen series (Iruma-kun) but I guess Astro Royale not doing that great must have spooked JUMP a bit
No idea. With YozaFam and Undead Unluck likely ending within the month, I don't think anything will get actively cancelled in the near future, but Astro Royale is in the middle of speeding through a tournament arc, which doesn't feel like a great sign
Then again, this is the same company publisher who have an extreme sunken cost fallacy complex with Watsuki depsite what he did due to how popular Rurouni Kenshin is in Japan, so not really a shock that some of the higher ups would say that.
