What kind of school environment was this that they felt free to say these things? They knew there would be no real consequences for themselves. My elderly white neighbor once said to me that racism will stop when her generation dies off. I get where she was coming from, but racists raise racists.

It's a lot of MAGA in Hanover. This particular part of the county is 4-7 miles from the east end of the City of Richmond which is heavily Black. Pretty sure the teacher/principal thought in their minds if this Black kid & his mom didn't like their treatment they could go back to Richmond.

Earlier in the school year, the MAGA white kids at one of the high school wrote NIG'R on the school bus of the school that was coming to play them (black high school in neighboring county). The kids are repeating what they're mom and dad say at home. No doubt this teacher & principal are MAGA too.

It's not all bad. Most people just keep to themselves. It's the loud and wrong MAGA that makes everything bad for everybody. MAGA is mad black people and non-racist white people are moving in. The black kid & his mom probably lived in a better house than the MAGA teacher/principal.

The principal & teacher tagged the black kid as the problem. They claimed it was to make the black kid more comfortable when they should’ve been making the WHITE kid uncomfortable by punishing him or her.

They didn’t want to see the white kid’s parents in Publix, Kroger or Target or the local MAGA/Klan restaurant and explain why they punished their kid for calling that black kid names when when black people call themselves that. So they punished the black kid for being upset he was being called slurs

This is why black parents need to keep their foot in the necks of white teachers and administrators. Because for every white teacher who wants to see all of their children succeed (regardless of race) there’s two more who either dislike the non-white kids or don’t care about them.
