What's tricky is making compelling combat in a game like that. Other games have the options to design combat around limitations and structure. Games like no mans sky, you always have the option to run away infinitely in any direction :)
It was just infinite waves of enemies until you ran away

Oddly, God of War just taught me that I like flipping switches and solving little puzzles.
