It’s a stark reminder of the issues that bind us, and who our enemies are. Rich politicians and party strategists who rake in millions from campaign contributions and lobbying efforts by the very companies who oppress us are the ones wagging their fingers and scolding us to be civil.

The politicians say they’re fighting for us and calling Trump a threat to democracy, where a much bigger and closer threat for the American people is the 90% failure rate AI program handling their child’s/parent’s/spouse’s cancer treatment claim which is about to deny them and sentence them to death

The American people see this barbaric act and they don’t clutch their pearls. They don’t cry out for justice. Because to them, in that moment, justice was served. The person responsible for the death of their loved ones was taken care of.

Instead of looking at this moment appalled- afraid- that a life was taken so quickly and brutally, people have the exact opposite reaction. Immediately, the public, regardless of political opinion, when news broke that he was shot, put their thumbs on their keyboard and typed: “good.”

It sucks that we’re here. Why have we gotten to the point where we feel nothing at actions like this? I dont want that. I want a world where problems of the people are solvable by due process, but to look at the testimonials and the anger and not feel any empathy at all is also a form of cruelty.
