As we see CONSTANTLY NOW white men will lower their QoL IMMENSELY in order to continue to exercise power and privilege over people of color and women, cis people over trans, straight people over queer. Companies will LOSE money to continue to exercise power - power is not improvement, it is control.

Point the 1st re: power & value -- white people, for example, appear to "sacrifice" their QoL standards for the "wage of whiteness" or racial power. Their white power has a value as a social relation, but like a commodity its value is set at point of purchase.

Point the 2nd re: SoL & productivity -- if we see SoL as forms of value reaped from productivity, then we see equity, like immigration, need not lower SoL. It is not a case of "too many cooks in the kitchen" *if* increased productivity means increased SoL.

Point the 3rd re: productivity & value -- QoL does *not* automatically universally proportionally increase with productivity (capitalism has a neat tool for jettisoning excess outputs that would interfere with its inputs, we call these "layoffs") and so white power "fears" SoL *and* productivity.

Point the 4th re: power & SoL -- while white power is married to capital, its need for a popular front allows it to use the dual need for and fear of growth (SoL & productivity) to motivate a white racists to act "against their interests," that is, to make the purchase. They buy security.

Final thoughts: liberal economics fails to find the "out" of identifying the *need* for capitalism to weaponize its own growth against the proletariat, and as such liberal antiracism fails to solve the equation of removing racist power from the economic motivators of social life.

I'm reminded of the CEO that about a decade ago set the standard pay for all of his employees to $75K (taking a massive pay cut himself) thinking if he could prove that was still profitable other companies would follow suit. It was immensely successful but no companies followed suit.
