Can I answer both? The outward journey is finding what Utopia is to Eve.
Inward would be the conflicts. Eve’s identity issue. Michael’s inward with dealing with his drug issue and his own insecurities.

There are various ways of abstracting protagonist journeys in fiction… I would guess that most are going on simultaneous "inward"/"outward" journeys. But does one predominate for yours? Or do you take issue with this framing? #Writers #WritingPrompts #WritingCommunity #WriteSky
