I love this statement but(always a bit) free is not the right word. Deferred cost, society funded, not sure but love these ideas.

Yes, funded by higher taxes but at least these countries use the revenue to benefit their citizens. Here in the US...not so much. 😳

You're right. Add to that the "I've got mine" and "Why should I care about anyone else" attitudes inherent in many here in the US, and the recipe for disaster continues to thwart true progress for the people in this country. What is believed by many to be the "greatest" is a failure for the people.
