There will be a triple hit to someone’s mom in a rural area who has Medicare, Medicaid and receives food stamps. Getting care will be harder. If care is available there will be bills Medicaid no longer covers she won’t be able to pay and she will experience food insecurity - no money to eat.

Hi Larry,

I was on a telehealth appt yesterday w my doctor when she casually disclosed that AHCCCS, the AZ state Medicaid system stopped making payments to them. Medicare too

A sky user chimed in on my post abt it saying Tricare stopped paying her claims in December

Do we know more abt this?

I'm not familiar with AZ's Medicaid policies. Medicare expanded coverage of telehealth during the pandemic, but that expires the end of March unless Congress extends it. I'm not sure why Medicare would have stopped reimbursing this particular provider now.
