This Shigeru Miyamoto-directed port of Takashi Nishiyama’s Kung-Fu Master was loosely based on the Jackie Chan film Wheels on Meals. Wild stuff! It’s a fantastic version of a hugely influential arcade classic that remains charming and addictive today.
This game always had a strong ZX Spectrum vibe to me, just its interface and feel and place so early on in the nes lifespan. Struck me as good but rapidly dated.
Its sequel is a lot of fun too as it added a lot to the original game's play style 👍
Also, you fight a gorilla and its ring leader at some point, and I think that's neat 🦍
