Exactly how I felt about the PS5 Pro's unveiling. Graphical fidelity is so high that we're seeing extremely diminishing returns, to the point that it just doesn't matter.

Hopefully, it will mean developers can't use graphics as a crutch, and we'll see more interesting aesthetics and stylised games.

it looks different in motion (the older one jittered, this one doesn't) but it literally doesn't matter unless you're specifically using their AI upscaling lol, like for the non-upscaled stuff, it is not that different. even in their own graphs the newest version is like 10?% faster than the old one

here's the video it's from, if you're curious, but unless you're really looking at the distant stuff and hate jagged edges, and are willing to use awful AI upscaling for higher FPS that introduces input lag, it literally doesn't matter for most people.
