There would need to be civil disobedience and actual direct action escalating the situation if you want them stopped sooner. As it is, there is no independent law enforcement arm that can lay hands (as part of the judiciary), (like there is in S America)
Why else did they refuse to enforce our Constitution, 14th A, sec 3 when they knew Trump incited an insurrection on Jan 6, 2021?
Why else would they've given Trump immunity for all official duties as POTUS, which would have given Nixon a free pass?
