“DOGE” is led by an unelected person and is a task force, but it is not an official agency. Each time it is mentioned, it is normalized. For that reason, put it in quotes or refer to it another way. This should not be tolerated and is not an acceptable way of governing.

Unfortunately no, per executive order the "United States Digital Service is hereby publicly renamed as the United States DOGE Service (USDS)" which is how they got around the whole "only Congress can create a new agency" detail.

I fully agree with the rest but scare quotes aren't going to save us.

I have been emailing my state elected officials daily and filing daily complaints with the state attorney general asking what they're going to do to protect the citizens in the state against fraud, grift and having our personal info sold to the highest bidder due to musk compromising it.

To dump all the data. There is no need to connect anything that would be a called a "server" to do anything else. There are a number of other things that could be plugged in to be useful, read only or not, but dumping all the data for later analysis is the very first thing I would do.
