Now Maine parents have to visit field offices in-person to get their newborn SSNs

This is a backdoor that will functionally deny "birthright citizenship." Without an SSN how can you go to school, get a job, a DL, or a passport? As DOGE blights our agencies with corrupt incompetents, it will take years (bribes?) to get your child an SSN.

It’s his way of making her constituents mad at her instead of him. Just like the teacher who punishes the whole class for one kid acting out, he’s trying to keep everyone in line by making an example of anyone who “defies him”. It’s weak and tyrannical at the same time.
